CEBC’s newly formed Youth Committee held a spectacularly successful debut event on the 6th April 2005 with the invitation of Dr. Ibrahim Karim, the founder of the modern science of BioGeometry. Members, academics, students, businessmen and esteemed members of the architectural community filled the Canadian Embassy hall to hear Dr. Karim’s groundbreaking theories and applications during the standing-room-only event. Based in part on ancient Egyptian practices, BioGeometry is the patented science of using the energy principles of geometry to qualitatively balance biological energy systems and harmonize their interactions with the environment. Youth Committee member Mahmoud Karim underlined the Committee’s mission of providing “youth from both sides with the opportunity to interact, develop mutual understanding and strong collaborative ties a platform where youthful enthusiasm and ambition can be linked to mentors experience and expertise, a link that will result in the emergence of a new generation of skilled and informed entrepreneurs.” He added, “Educated youth present a large percentage of both the Egyptian and Canadian populations (…) a percentage that confirms the necessity of providing a by youth and for youth initiative.”
