Description

CEBC members’ retreats are always a great opportunity to exchange information, suggestions and opinions between members of the Council within a friendly atmosphere.

The retreat was held at the Jazz Little Venice in Ein Sokhna. The one day working sessions took place on Friday, an interesting session entitled “The Egyptian woman as a consumer ” was presented by Ms. Loula Zaklama, President and Managing Director at Rada Research and Public Relations Co.

The presentations covered a wide spectrum of creative tools in the field of women consumer behavior in Egypt . The discussion began with a background that contains classification of the Egyptian population into classes, rural vs urban , gender and age. Then, it moved to the criteria of identifying the social class according to education, occupation, area of residence, number of family members and other attributes.

The main discussion was on the habits of the Egyptian women as a consumer, and several statements considering women’s consumer behavior were discussed, as for example whether they are emotional and rational or not. The discussion ended with an open ending statement that states “ Women are women everywhere”, and precipitants communicated in debating the statement.

Other points were raised throughout the sessions covering issues such as the US presidential elections “Hilary versus Trump”, the strong and weak points for each of them, who would you support and the reason behind your choice.

After the session the participants then enjoyed some networking with exchanged conversations while enjoying a barbecue dinner.

CEBC wishes to thank all the retreat’s participants, members of the board and speakers for a memorable and a great gathering.

P.S. Copies of the presentations and concluded recommendations are available for CEBC members upon demand.
