A special presentation by Mr. Maged Shawky Chairman Cairo & Alexandria Stock Exchanges, Mr. Sherif Rafaat Chairman of MIBC, Dr. Mohamed Taymour Chairman EFG Hermes Holdings was held on February 1st 2006, at Nile Hilton. Major points were raised such as that we must recognize that there is no certainty in markets and that at the moment investors can only go long on the markets. Second, Egyptian Capital Market should develop its long term strategy through CMA and Stock Exchange as well as the financial intermediaries. Finally, certain practices of other regional & gulf markets should not be followed as they are not applicable to the Egyptian market; we should be taking our lead from developed markets.
