Due to the success achieved by the Egyptian Council for Sustainable Development’s three missions that took place to Georgia, Armenia, Belarus and Lithuania and finally to Finland and Estonia in contributing towards enhancing the business and trade relations between Egypt and those important countries, CEBC members had the desire to participate and get the wheel of production turning and tap new channels and bring new countries in the spotlight where a lot of opportunities could be achieved.

Accordingly the Egyptian Council for Sustainable Development arranged a Roundtable Discussion featuring Ambassador Sergei Rachkov, Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt and Ambassador Sander Soone, Ambassador of Estonia to Egypt to highlight Belarus and Estonia as lands of opportunities.

The meeting comes as a follow up meeting after the Council’s arranged missions to those two important countries, it also comes in the pursuit of setting off the memorandums of understanding signed between the Egyptian Council for Sustainable Development (ECSD) and the Embassies of Belarus and Estonia in Egypt and in light of the mutual efforts exerted to strengthen relations and develop reciprocal cooperation.

The Ambassadors gave presentations about Belarus and Estonia in general in terms of geography and the strategic added values, about their economies and the improvement on competitiveness these countries achieved and labor force as well as the infrastructures.

The ambassadors also listened to some members of the Council who were delegates of the missions arranged to Belarus and Estonia, sharing their experience, the success stories and the challenges they may have faced.

Eng. Motaz Raslan, Chair of the ECSD also highlighted the importance of the business missions that the Council organizes and its main goals which is aiming at opening those nontraditional markets before the Egyptian products.

We believe that ECSD is still to achieve new horizons of cooperation and success stories to share through the way while helping its members discover and penetrate these promising markets”, Raslan commented.
