Ecic chose Uzbekistan to be our destination in June 2024. Was chosen due to its vast market potential and the numerous investment opportunities. The country offers a dynamic economic environment that is ripe for exploration and growth. Another business mission was organized in September 2024 by ECIC where (Raslan, Investia ,Al Ahly Sabbour, Hassan Allam, Orascom Nile sugar, Orascom in2metals, International company for agriculture crops, Polyserve, Allcare, MinaPharm, IntraPharm, Solyphar, Egy trading, Bell Energy, Mosaic financials, Sawari ventures and Egyptian agriculture research Centre) joined ECIC second business mission to Uzbekistan for a business forum held in Tashkent region on September 12. Organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of Republic of Uzbekistan in Cairo, Hosted by the Governor of Tashkent region. A lot of presentations and speeches were demonstrated by both sides to increase practical implementation of joint investment initiatives and increase the volume of bilateral trade.
On September 13 the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted roundtable discussions and G2B meetings along with Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of pre school and school Education, Ministry of Construction and Houses, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Mining, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Agency for the development of the pharmaceutical industry, the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Trade and Industry, Agency of planet protection, Uzbek agriculture research Centre, Uzsuvtaminot, Uzeltexsanoat and Uzkimyosanoat.
During the event, representatives of Egyptian business circles were presented with opportunities created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, including tax and customs privileges and preferences, infrastructure, legislative protection of entrepreneurs’ interests. The prospects of participation in the state privatization program and project initiatives in priority sectors of economy on the basis of PPP were also presented.
After this roundtable discussions g2b, b2b and g2g side meetings were held to discuss agriculture, education, health, tourism, finance and potential deals.
